Senate approves bill banning use of tax dollars to advocate for gun control
"For example, we have the right to be free from "unreasonable search and seizure", but that is a term open to interpretation and disagreement."
The Bill of Rights are Rights of the people, not limitations. Therefore, the Bill of Rights are not open to interpretation and disagreement. They can only be open to change by the amendment change process. To suggest that Rights can be regulated by government is silly.

Actually the Bill of Rights and the Preamble to the Bill of Rights says that the listed Rights are areas that the government is not supposed to make any law (unless they engage in the amendment change process). What Judge Scalia was doing was trying to start regulation on Rights with regular legislation. Judge Scalia did not base his decision on the Constitution when he tried to open the door to the government to "limit your Rights". Making laws on the Bill of Rights is not allowed at the federal level period.

Opinion: Benghazi, IRS: Son of Watergate?
"And, I'm still waiting for some sort of big deal to surface about Benghazi, but nothing has. After rather extensive investigation, no major misbehavior has been found."
Four people were attacked and killed. That's kind of a big deal.
This administration has delayed and delayed in hopes the American people will forget about it, but that's not going to happen.

City estimates it may cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to keep concealed weapons out of city buildings
I take it to mean any person at their job that goes to a fixed place, not a place that is constantly mobile.

@jafs, It is not the Kansas Constitution that I found it a couple years ago, but rather Kansas Statute KSA 21-4201. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, it's a good refresher. It's been a while since I have looked, a lot of stuff has changed. But point "(4) carrying any pistol, revolver or other firearm concealed on one's person except when on the person's land or in the person's abode or fixed place of business;" Link is at: http://kansasstatutes.lesterama.org/C...

The Kansas Constitution states that people have the right to carry firearms at their abode or at their place of business. No CC is needed.

The Kansas Constitution states the right to carry firearms at your home (abode) or at your place of work or business. Looks like the city can save their money.

Letter: Firepower
The 2nd amendment exists at the federal level and the state level. It is therefore unconstitutional (illegal) to make any gun control laws at those levels. We don't use government to limit rights at the federal or state level. They are rights that don't come from government, and therefore can not be limited by government. That is why we have laws in place at the government level against people's illegal actions; gun control laws seek to limit peoples rights, by saying you can not have this gun or that clip, which wrongly affects people who have done nothing wrong. Laws are in place now that punish wrong behavior (as it should be), like: Do not steal, do not murder, etc. God says it like this: 1. Love God with all your heart, all of your soul, all your mind, all your strength, all your might. 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. We need to return to God and have respect for God to limit evil actions in people's hearts, not gun control.
