Petition seeks Kansas secession from the United States because of Obama's re-election
Non-issue. 3000 nutjobs out of a state population of 2.8 million or so. That's pretty much what you'd expect in the nutjob / non-nutjob ratio.
The media is running with this story, pointing out that 100,000 people in 22 states have started those petitions -- presenting it as if the States themselves are petitioning, despite the fact that it's a handful of folks, solidly within the nutjob ratio, nationally.

Town Talk: Downtown Italian restaurant set to open today; sad tale of how Lawrence Hereford House led to crime; city to recycle unwanted trash cans on Friday
I know. "St. Louis style Italian" is about as Italian as Minsky's.
Of course, the hayseeds won't know any better, so the place will do great business.
*sigh*

Kobach wants to outlaw photographing ballots
Of course he wants to outlaw it. It would be very inconvenient if my record of my vote didn't match the official tally.
When will Kansans wake up and see this clown for what he is?

Obama wins re-election
Stating a fact is not "blame" -- Bush drove the country off a cliff, and it's taking a ton of work to get it back on track. That's not blame. Every economist in the world says that we were nearly at total economic collapse, and we've been slowly crawling out.
You'd think that getting shellacked last night would teach you to pay attention to facts, instead of what your idealogical bubble is saying.

Don't forget your picture ID on Election Day
If anyone identifying themselves as a "poll worker" or "observer" challenges your right to vote, use your phone to take a picture or video record of them, and ask them for their name.

GOP taking aim at Dems
...and when the GOP policies turn Kansas even into more of a third-world hole, they'll turn around and blame the condition of the state on Democrats, and convince the hayseeds to keep voting for them.
They just have to wrap it in enough Jeebus, and it'll be swallowed.
