100 years ago: Annual Barteldes party a big success

Those were the days... last time I was in Lawrence, it was for my grandfather's funeral. Not even a reception for all the family that came in from all corners of the nation to pay their last respects....

The Razzie nominations for worst movie of 2010 were released Monday. Which of the nominated films do you think deserves the title?

so the girls in SATC were nominated Worst Actress as an ensemble? I disagree... Kim Cattrall saved the movie... and Liza too? She was in the film for like 5 minutes and actually was entertaining with her campy version of Beyonce's song

Do you know how to drive a stick shift?

Cars with stick shifts burn less gas. I learned to drive on a car with a stick - was living in South America at the time - And I miss it when I rent

Kansas likely to join ranks of states implementing stringent new immigration regulations

So Kansas wants to be Arizona... Just another reason to mock the Sunflower state... Hey, Kansas legislators: Study some history: California did that years ago and they were beat in the courts. How about waiting to see how Arizona fares in the Supreme Court?

How long do you normally keep your New Year's resolutions?

You're right Dusty.... The last resolution I made was three years ago... "No more resolutions." And I've been able to keep it
