Democrats ask moderate Republicans, independents to join their cause

Is this an editorial? It's a joke to me that this is supposed to pass for real journalism.
"dumped untold amounts of money on mailers"
How about presenting some real data or facts rather than just throwing out a statement you think will tickle the ears of those that agree with you.

Group of business leaders, churches opposed to inclusion of gender identity in Lawrence's anti-discrimination policy

I can appreciate the grace you are showing but I don't think this group is saying grab your pitch forks and run the LGBT group out of town. They are simply opposing legislation that condones this stuff.
Read Romans 1:18 -32 and also 1 Corinithians 6:9-20. The bible makes it pretty clear that sexually immorality is sin.
There's nothing wrong with these people standing up and opposing laws that don't reflect their worldview. It's the same thing that every group does but somehow when a Chirstian group does it their told to just quiet down, go back to your little church, and stop judging. God said to judge with righteous judgement and be ready because you're going to be judged with the same measure you judge by. So that means we need to judge by God's law and if we don't uphold his laws and teachings then be ready for the judgement that gets layed out on us.

Right in the head: Relieve headaches by knowing the cause

This article and doctor is a joke. He suggest not to take the immediate painkillers for instant relief but the list of different treatments breaks down to a bunch of pill poppin to prevent the headache! It makes me angry that many times our medical communities first reaction is "here take this pill".
Heres a news flash.......how about some prayer and exercise to help heal your mind and body rather than running off to the pharmacist and picking up the latest cure all that the FDA just approved.

Proposal to open homeless day center in Barker neighborhood abandoned

Please don't let your perception of the homeless and poor be completely based on the the drunk guy you see passed out on the corner. It's also moms and dads and children who ran into some tough situations and end up without a home. The security that we feel sitting in our homes at night can quickly be taken away by a lost job or unsurmountable medical bill. The government and tax payers shouldn't have to bear all of the responsibility and cost for the homeless. Joe Reitz and the participating churches are stepping up and trying to do something about this problem rather than sitting around and waiting for the city to do more. Thank you to them and everyone else in this city who ask "how can I help out?" instead of "why should I help out?"
