22 people arrested last weekend in Douglas County on drunken-driving charges

Explain how this is an unreasonable search? You are not searched unless there is probable cause and you are not being legally detained so your freedom is not infringed upon.

Probable cause applies to constitutional searches and seizures. There is not allow that prevents an officer from controlling traffic or doing a well-being check (i.e. requiring a driver to stop and speaking to the driver through the car window). It is only if the driver provides suspicion that any further action takes place and a probable cause search or a BA could occur. If a driver breaks a traffic law than an officer is allowed to perform an incidental search.

Now the idiotic house example...an officer can knock on your door and it does not violate your constitutional rights. If you provide him with probable cause (stolen items setting around, your house smells like meth, etc.), then he can search your house.

U.S. Attorney's office charges Lawrence men with methamphetamine trafficking

FYI: Most distributers and manufacturers don't use thier own product, they are "business men". Not good for business if you don't have anything left to make a profit. Dealers are lackies and will often deal to support thier own habit.

davidmcg- I worked as an officer at a Correctional facility that was basically a government half-way house - I couldn't have worded my experience and veiws even half as well as you.

FYI: A Meth use typically slams between 1/2 gram to 3/4 gram at a time so at 50 grams you would have atleast 67 hits. 50 is the statute for charging for distribution and sale.

Did President Barack Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize this early in his term?

"According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize should be awarded to the person who:

“ during the preceding year [...] shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."

This indicates that action is what should be evaluated, not intention. So what did BO do in 2008 to deserve this award? NADA! Heck, Jimmy Carter's NPP make more sense! What a joke!
