West Middle School students serve state leaders lunch straight from their garden

Great job, West! Also, not included in the article is the rest of the day's activities. After West, the tour went on to visit Moon on the Meadow Farm and then ended the day learning about the Farm to Child Care program, Families, Farmers and Educators United (FFEU). The tour visited one of the FFEU sites, Hilltop Child Development Center. First Lady Brownback read a book to the preschoolers and then the children made Kansas pancakes. A tour of Hilltop's garden followed. Lots of great things happening in our county!
