Questions abound about Obama's KU visit
I vote yes for the visit, and my tax money is just as good as yours.

Questions abound about Obama's KU visit
You do realize that when you include his middle name only in an obvious attempt to skew peoples thoughts of him, it only makes YOU look like the fool, right? No? Well, best learn.

Obama coming to Lawrence to visit KU on Friday
My god I can't imagine what it's like to be so negative and miserable that you can't be excited that a sitting president, whether you like him or not, is visiting your city. I feel sorry for you people.

Baldwin City woman killed in two-vehicle accident in Olathe
I know that area of I-35 well as my wife works nearby. It's common to be very slow or stopped around 119th Street.

Weather forces districts, including Lawrence, to cancel classes; other cancellations listed
Coming from Boston, I do get wimpy in Lawrence/KC much easier (and with much less snow) than I would back in the northeast, because (a) people can't drive in it, and (b) the crews, ESPECIALLY Lawrence, don't know how to clear it.

Oxygen masks used on KC-Dallas Southwest flight
Unlikely. Airlines tend to keep planes broken for two months. Also, it's widely known that Southwest only has one single aircraft.

Should Sporting Kansas City consider changing the name of Livestrong Sporting Park in the wake of the scandal surrounding Lance Armstrong?
Hmmm, a lot of people here seem to think the question reads "Should the team change its name?" Was the wording of the question changed? Because I don't see anything in the question regarding a change to a team name...
Anyways, the team does not own the stadium, so the team (Sporting) has no say in the name of the stadium, from my knowledge. Sure, the two may feed off each other...but I don't believe the team itself can just go change the name of the stadium it neither owns nor operates.

Do you usually vote along party lines or mix it up when you vote?
I do thorough research on local, state and national candidates that I have the opportunity to vote for. I generally end up splitting my vote pretty much down the middle, with some third party thrown in, as my views vary greatly - on one topic I may be very much on the left, while on another I may be very much on the right. I do not have blanket views so I cannot vote just for a party...I vote for a candidate.
If someone says "I only vote Dem" or "I only vote Republican", I immediately start wondering if they have any idea who they are actually voting for or what they actually "say" they stand for.

Group at Dole applies dials to Romney, Obama during debate
Never mind the fact that I am originally from the state where Romney was once the Gov...I dislike the guy greatly. I won't be voting for him. But I'll tell you one thing - I am sure as heck more likely to vote for him today than I was yesterday. Probably won't vote for either guy though.
It was practically uncomfortable just watching Obama at times. Really a shocker.
