Resident to sound off on dog ordinance

I'm just a caveman. When I see an eclipse, I think, "Oh no, is the moon eating the sun?" That's the way I think, I'm a caveman.

Domestic violence charges most frequently dropped

It's painfully frustrating how little the police can do in these situations. If the bastard keeps coming back before justice is served, and you aren't content to let him eventually kill you or drive you insane, then there's really only one solution: Wait in the living room with the door unlocked, 12 gauge in hand. Tell the officers that your life was in imminent danger, send flowers to his mom, or don't.

Freshman becomes first male on KU's Rock Chalk Dance Team

Yeah, he probably will, I just hope the crowd doesn't throw stuff at him or anything. I mean, we're not in Missouri.

That is an odd choice of photo.

Freshman becomes first male on KU's Rock Chalk Dance Team

That is brilliant. If he actually likes girls, then he has hit the jackpot. If not ... then he just placed the most effective personal ad in Lawrence history. I truly hope people don't give him too much crap for this, because he's probably an awesome dancer.

Taliban wing has captured Democratic Party

What we've really learned today is that the Democrats now are saying that Iraq is not a threat, when it's clear that they said the opposite back when it mattered what they said. Everyone here seems to be in agreement on this point, and we've seen ample evidence of their former viewpoint. So, now they are continuing with the latest trend toward retreating from the threats, which is merely a cycle of their political strategy, as Cal is pointing out. Whether it's political strategy, or a shift in the leadership of the party, what matters is that they are showing dangerous inconsistency with matters of national security.

I don't understand why it matters what your world view is when we're talking about national politics? Oh, the world revolves around YOU. My apologies.

Yeah, the oil companies fixed this whole mess. It's just how they planned it.

Taliban wing has captured Democratic Party

Once again we have a liberal who doesn't want US involvement overseas until it is convenient for them. Probably what's more appropriate here is that any US military action under a republican president is going to be the subject of criticism, so this discussion is meaningless. "Oh no, we don't want to be the world police." Until a democrat decides we do, and then we're the world's savior. Soooooooo transparent.

I'm not the one saying Lebanon needs our troops. I thought you listened to NPR? Let's be honest here, are you speaking for the left or not? If you are, you KNOW you want the US to be the world police.
