Kansas to join states allowing concealed guns without permit

I'm a CC holder and when I took the instructional course, 2 things were staggering to me: 1) In a class of 40-ish, 10 of the participants did not own a gun and 8 of those had never even shot a gun. Never even shot a gun, yet here they are taking a CC class 2) At least 20 of the people in that course would be classified as morons by even less-than-average intelligence individuals. Some of the questions asked of the instructor should have resulted in an automatic dismissal of the student asking the question.

This is a real question asked by a student in the course I attended: "If I have a small party at my house and a friend of mine brings a friend of his that I don't like, do I have the right to shoot them for unlawful entry into my house?" Instructor responds "NO". Follow up from student: What if I ask them to leave and they won't leave; can I then shoot them for not leaving?"

The benefit of requiring CC licenses is that it forces individuals to take an instructional course which at least gives holders a basic understand of gun laws and regulations.

Driver and passenger in Pontiac Grand Am arrested after long police chase

You're talking about 6 cylinders of raw american power.

Love that the chase reached speeds of 80mph. So the suspect was getting passed by normal every day commuters.

New two-lane Wakarusa roundabout may be a little confusing at first, but it's safer, city official says

I'm sorry, but if you have a problem navigating roundabouts, then 4-way stops are also likely too challenging for you.

Not all last-minute tax filers are procrastinators

I can never figure out why so many people go to places like H&R, Liberty or Jackson Hewitt. If you were injured, would you go see a part-time doctor? Do you take your vehicles to do-it-yourself mechanics?

People should have their taxes done by professionals, not by people who took a two-week course, if anything. And here's a secret not many of those places tell you...they often charge more for their tax services than a CPA does
