City provides more details on rental registration program

Mike, your last two comments:

1. How would a once every 3 year inspection have stopped that mold which could have grown in a matter of days or weeks?

2. Trust me, Realtors want issues taken care of in inspections. The last thing any of them would want is a homebuyer to come back to them with negativity after purchasing a property with issues that weren't found. Now that my friend is bad for referrals...

Public invited to give input on rental licensing and inspection program

Thank you! This is much better than the thousands of inspections that will be completed on perfectly fine properties. If there is a problem then the tenants and landlords should deal with it, not the city. We don't need the extra governing, thanks but no thanks, Lawrence.

City to begin searching for sites for potential multimillion dollar police headquarters

I wish I didn't feel this way, but in my opinion, the crime rate almost surely go up if a new police department is built. If the city could convince me that a drastic reduction in crime would happen, then I would feel differently.

Illinois man sentenced to 30 months in prison in case where children were bound and blindfolded in parking lot

In my gut i feel that they were going to kill these children. The tarp and baseball bat story is accurate from my memory of the time.

Man convicted of killing Lawrence boy in 1988 up for parole this month

I don't think anyone on this planet thinks releasing that guy is a good idea. Kinda makes me question our "system" a bit.

Police cite 27 motorists in Monday night seat-belt enforcement

lol medical care is so outragiously expensive that it doesn't even come close to mattering. PROFIT PROFIT PROFIT for hospitals. Ain't nobody got time for that! Your argument is useless, feel free to decide to preach about drunk driving though, that does kill people. Not seatbelts in town
