Investigation into crash that killed Lawrence Police officer could take weeks

All accidents involving deaths are investigated as per the law. And the record is public information. We may find that he was perfectly clean. if that is the case further investigation may be needed. Such as was the Nissan defective. Had he worked a double shift or a whole host of other issues.

Occupy Lawrence notifies city that some campers plan to stay in South Park despite warnings from city

Just offer the campers a job. That should chase them off. Maybe Mayor Cromwell should make such an offer.
I will offer an 8-man tent to any homeless group that would like to counter the protest by moving in across the street permanently. The City officials round up the homeless and run them off or run them in. If you people really want fairness then encourage the homeless to occupy South Park permanently. Loring Henderson will make sure they don't go hungry.

Do any of you know why the U.S. Congress and our President did the bailouts and the stimulus? It's because congress passed a law exempting themselves from insider trading statutes, allowing them to use their committees to profit on insider trading. Including passing trade agreements and pushing policies that they use to enrich themselves. All to the detriment of the US, our dollar and our sovereignty. They had to do the bailout to save their millions of dollars, because the market crashed before they knew what happened.
Both parties are the same. I've believed that since my junior year of HS(1978). You can't trust any of them.
Most of you people have it backwards though. The banks aren't using our elected officials. Our elected officials are using the banks to commit this massive fraud and to confuse the electorate. The bankers are our Senators cronies. It's a partnership. Look no farther than Barney Frank. Him and domestic partner have trashed Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, looting millions for themselves.
This is one of many reasons that big government can't work. The Fed's are supposed to police the states, not dictate to them. If we can return control of most issues to the states we will be better able to govern ourselves. Then the Fed can do what they are supposed to do. Keep a watchful eye on the states, instead of being the corrupt ones. Think about it. The DOJ
is keeping an eye on itself. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

South Lawrence Trafficway appeal awaits oral arguments

Yeah that would be sweet if no white man ever came to this land. But the fact is that it was inevitable. It could be that people with no beliefs came here and conquered this land. People who wouldn't even allow this online debate.
As far as the Baker wetlands goes, Baker wetlands, yeah that's right, created by the white man. How sacred is that? For those of you who do not know, these wetlands are not natural.
I don't know what makes them sacred except for the money folks tied to them have been holding out for. The SLT going through them could be the best thing that ever happened to them if people would work together to enhance it rather than fight.
A raised highway could produce many viewing locations with mini-education centers that would produce funds and a friends of the wetland project. But never mind all that, let's just fight to fight and let everyone lose.
