KU fraternity suspended by national organization in wake of animal cruelty allegations
Don't make an arse of yourself Isthisajoke. I'll bet at least half the comments on here are from Greeks. You are making us look like jerks.

I hear you, andrewgustafson1 -- In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “You have just dined, and however scrupulously the slaughterhouse is concealed in the graceful distance of miles, there is complicity.”

I always knew musicians were way cooler than fraternity boys.

Agree KansasPerson. My 12 year old burst into tears when she read the coverage in the Star. The bird had it's wing and leg broken. It then ran screaming for it's life, while a bunch of "men" chased it. Animals have no voice to defend themselves against moronic people. A 20 lb creature being kept in a cage surrounded by people at least 5 times their size (we are talking Betas afterall) and then thrown, choked and mutilated . . . all for entertainment. This is no mistake. . . it's an act of hatred and a blatant disregard for the creatures of the earth.. It sickens me. . .

Animals suffer pain. Why would humans intentionally inflicting pain one of one of God's creatures not upset you more? I hope no one ever thinks that you are just a moronic creature unworthy of empathy and rights
. Did I just say that?

Police respond to animal cruelty complaint at KU fraternity
I read the KC Star article to my 12 year old daughter who burst into tears when she heard what these guys did to this poor creature. Glad to know she feels empathy for all of God's creatures. I had to explain to her that sometimes when people lack confidence they have to pick on something weaker so they can feel superior. I hope these soft Beta boys now feel better about themselves . I love picturing possible scenarios involving karmic retribution

That's what makes me sick to think of the sorority girls going along with it. Kappas and Pi Phi's no doubt. Sheep.

None of that matters JoeHawk. Torturing an innocent animal for your own self-indulgent pleasure is wrong. I agree with the amount of professionals coming out of the Beta house. In fact, wasn't Bernie Madoff a Beta?
