The Associated Press refers to Romney either as "Mitt Romney" or "Republican nominee Mitt Romney." So that's what we're going with. It's not an issue of fairness; it's an issue of style and consistency. We are consistent in referring to Romney this way in our coverage. If Romney were still governor, we would use his elected title.

I don't see a problem with it, classclown. The user is expressing his or her opinion about a public figure's fundraising efforts. I'm not sure of the circumstances behind the comment you reference, but if it was targeting a user on the site, that's likely why it was removed. There's much more leeway when it comes to criticizing public figures.
