About 50 people gathered at Prairie Star Farm in De Soto to participate in the Free State Brewing Company’s inaugural Beer Dinner on the Farm event.

As part of the memorial, Shawnee Fire Department Captain Ray Pettigrew put a helmet with John Glaser's last name in front of the fallen officer firefighter memorial at station 71.

Rob Moritz and his 11-year-old son Andrew Moritz came to the fallen Shawnee police officer and firefighter memorial Monday at station 71.

The plaque in front of station 71, which honors fallen Shawnee police officers and Shawnee firefighters, has only one name on it. Soon Glaser's name will be added to this memorial.
