Free State sophomores Turner Corcoran (74) and Colter Maldonado (83) block for senior running back Zach Wilson during the first quarter of the Firebirds' 69-6 first round playoff win on Friday at FSHS.

Free State junior offensive tackle Turner Corcoran released a list of his top-seven collegiate programs Friday evening via his personal Twitter account.

The University of Kansas was among the final seven schools along with Ohio State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. In his post, Corcoran said his recruitment remains 100 percent open.

“I would like to thank the man up above and everyone from the bottom of my heart who has helped me through my recruiting process,” Corcoran said in his post. “After a deep thought with my family, close coaches, friends and teammates, I am proud to announce the next step in my recruitment process. With this being said, my recruitment is still 100 percent open, but at this time, here are my top seven schools I would like to focus on from here on out.”

According to Rivals, the 6-foot-6, 270-pound lineman is a four-star recruit. Corcoran has received 14 scholarship offers and is ranked the 87th-best prospect in his class. Corcoran is ranked No. 11 at his position.

Corcoran will begin his junior campaign this month, as Free State travels to Olathe South on Thursday, Aug. 30. The Firebirds are coming off a 10-1 campaign, in which they suffered an overtime loss to Derby in the 6A quarterfinals.
