KU women’s basketball drops 76-66 decision to TCU for 8th loss in a row

The Kansas women’s basketball team could not get a win in February.

KU dropped a 76-66 decision to TCU at home Wednesday night, suffering its eighth loss in as many games during the month of February. The Jayhawks (12-15, 2-4 Big 12) have not won a game since their 88-79 victory over Oklahoma on Jan. 30.

A trio of players scored in double figures for Kansas in a losing effort against TCU. Christalah Lyons led the way with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting, while Austin Richardson went 7-for-14 from the floor to finish with 16 points. Kylee Kopatich scored 14 points, going 5-of-9 on the night.

The Horned Frogs (19-8, 9-7) were led by Jordan Moore, who ended up with a game-high 28 points on 11-of-15 shooting. Kianna Ray also scored 18 points for the visitors.

Kansas will play host to West Virginia at 7 p.m. Saturday.
