KU volleyball falls to TCU in Texas

Despite a competitive first set, Kansas volleyball suffered a 3-0 loss to TCU at the TCU Recreation Center Saturday afternoon.

TCU claimed a 25-20 win over the first set, which featured 12 ties between the two teams. The Horned Frogs then notched a 25-19 win in the second set, while recording a 25-16 victory in the third set.

With the win, TCU improved to 15-11 overall, including 7-8 in Big 12 play. Kansas dropped to 15-10, including 8-6 in conference play. The combination of Jada Burse and Ashley Smith led the Jayhawk attack with Burse tallying a team-high nine kills and Smith finishing with eight.

Kansas travels to Iowa State at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
