Sound Off: Last Lawrence tornado
When was the last time Lawrence was struck by a tornado?
The last tornado to damage Lawrence was an F-2 tornado that touched down in south Lawrence on May 8, 2003. It resulted in more than 200 insurance claims and $5 million in property damage. No one was killed or seriously injured.

We live in East Lawrence and knew no good was afoot when insulation started falling from the sky.

Yes, it destroyed a building at Aberdeen Apartments. The same building that was rebuilt, and then burned down due to a lightning strike. :S

I ws panhandling on Mass when the sirens went off. We found a cubby behind the church at 10th and Vermont. Never came near and we had plenty of beverage to tie us over. No biggie.
