Sound Off: Highest scoring effort

I know Bud Stallworth once scored 50 points against Missouri in a basketball game. Is this the highest scoring effort in KU history?

No. Wilt Chamberlain beat Stallworth by 2 points. Chamberlain scored 52 points against Northwestern on Dec. 3, 1956, which still stands as top single-game scoring outburst in Jayhawk history. Stallworth scored 50 versus MU in 1972. Wilt also had 46-point (vs. Nebraska) and 45-point (Colorado) games as a Jayhawk.
