Does Lawrence have an ordinance against dogs barking all day long, disturbing the neighbors?

Yes. Ordinance 3-206, Noise Disturbance, states: “No person shall own within the city limits any animal, including a dog or cat, which, by creating noise for prolonged periods of time by day or night, disturbs the peace and quiet of any person or family within the City.” If you are having problems with prolonged barking where you live, call animal control at 785-832-7509.
