Sound Off: Bus stop benches

Does the city plan to put a bench at each bus stop?

The Lawrence transit system is evaluating adding benches at selected highly active bus stops, but no definitive plans have been made, according to Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager.

Should work. Add a pillow on one end and a folded blanket on the other. Perfect for lawrence.

Having a schedule doesn't mean squat if you're having to switch buses or wait for a return trip after you've finished whatever you're out doing. Nice try, though.

You might try funding your own transportation or using a cab? Just a thought.

Something provided free or at a loss and leeches whine about it... go figure. Guess this is the entitlement mentality.

They should all have heated/air conditioned huts with laptops, Internet access, cable and free soda/snacks.
