According to the web page for KU Department of Student Housing, the department serves 5,200 students in 62 buildings.
What is the salary in the private sector for someone directing an enterprise with 62 properties and 5,200 residents, not to mention staff? No doubt it's minimum wage.

I can only assume you're having trouble grasping the job skill needed to direct the running of 62 multi-residence properties for 5,200 students. No way would this be a minimum wage job in the private sector.
