Sound Off: Bike donation
Is there any organization or place to donate old bicycles? The frame is in excellent shape, but does need work because it has been sitting around for years and has not been used.
Bicycles can be donated to the Salvation Army Family Store, 1601 W. 23rd St., or the Social Service League, 905 Rhode Island St.

The Lions Club does a free bike giveaway with used and rebuilt bikes. I wonder if they are doing it again this year?

The Lions Club collects bikes, takes them to Lansing for the inmates to refurbish, then makes them available to the needy at Christmas time. It is an ongoing project of the Lions.

If so, donating to them would be a great option as well.
