Sound off: How many cars can be parked in the driveway and on the street at a single-family dwelling all the time?

Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager, provided this information: The city’s development code regulates the parking of vehicles on the driveway in residential zoning districts. The code allows no more than four vehicles to be parked on driveways or turnarounds within the required front or side yard setbacks. City code does not regulate the number of vehicles that can be parked on the street, but the code prohibits vehicles parked on any public street for any continuous period of more than 48 hours.

Since my driveway goes around the back of the house, does that mean I can have more? The single family rental house on the next block usually has five cars in the driveway, I'm sure some of the cars are not related so two of them should park on the street.

I wish they would have given the ordinance code number so it could be looked up.
