Sound Off: Building two new residence halls before razing McCollum Hall is going to cause a real parking problem on Kansas University’s Daisy Hill. What does KU plan to do to alleviate the insurmountable parking issues?

Donna Hultine, director of KU parking and transit, said plans for how to handle parking during the construction are still to come. “Once an architect is on board, and design and planning gets underway, careful attention will be given to this and other factors associated with construction occurring in an occupied area where significant activity occurs,” Hultine said. “Every effort will be made to minimize to the greatest extent possible the impact on current residents and those working on Daisy Hill.”
