The Jayhawks open the 2012 season on Tuesday against Emporia State University. The game will be at 7 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse.

Buzz. Wrong answer... Of course, we all "know" that they're talking about the men's basketball game. However, since the question did not specify, and there have been stories about how this is the year to see the great women's team with Angel and Co., I feel compelled to answer: KU women's basketball plays on Sunday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. Opponent will be Washburn Lady Blues.

Only when they go to the Sweet Sixteen. Otherwise, nope.
It's a shame, really. Lawrencians are missing out on watching some terrific basketball, in great seats, for a steal of a price. The LJW could do a lot better job of reporting on the games, printing photos, etc.
