Sound Off: Who is responsible for the lights at the ball fields at Holcom Park? They are often illuminated in the evenings when no games are being played.
Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager, provided this answer: The city’s Parks and Recreation Department operates the lights according to scheduled games and practices. If games finish early or practice teams do not show up, the lights will remain on until automatic timers turn them off at the scheduled shut-off time.
