Please keep in mind that its ran by the State. The place is a Joke like most every thing this State does. The State of Kansas doesn't do to much right. There highways suck as well.

If I had to hazard a guess, ending at a random time like 5:45, that means they are open 10 hours and 45 minutes each day. Allow for a 1 hour lunch and 15 minutes for opening and closing and each person is working 10 hours a day. 10 hours/day x 4 days = 40 hours. That means they can run it fully with one set of staff without having any overtime.

Why don't they have a numbered waiting list, nor allow water or food for a, usually, two hour wait? You hop from one chair to the next as the line proceeds. Often there are not enough chairs. Took two months, two visits and 4 long phone calls to get my renew. With no issues from my side. The personnel were pleasant.

And when you go in to renew your CCW the clerk announces, "here to renew your Concealed carry License?"
