Sound Off: Where can you find the weekly Sunflower League standings?
The standings for the 12-school Sunflower League run every Saturday in the sports section. Keep in mind that in even years, such as this year, the last seven games against Sunflower League opponents count in the league standings. In odd years, the first seven games against league teams count. Because district games always are the final three games of the season, this unusual way of tracking the standings ensures that, at least every other year, teams from stronger districts are not heavily penalized.
