Sound Off: When is the city going to paint a center line on the newly paved Monterey Way between Sixth Street and Bob Billings Parkway?
With the new paving and the establishment of a “sharrow” (bike/car lane) and a lack of parking along a portion of this street, it is not possible to replace the yellow skip divider on this section of Monterey Way, said Roger Steinbrock of the city’s marketing division. “This is a two-lane road and many of our two-lane roads do not have pavement markings,” he said.

The last two sound offs have been answered by the city's "Marketing Division", when was this division formed? Why does city hall need to be marketed?

Probably because Megan got sick and tired of being blamed for the answers that were not her doing.

The City seems quite adverse to painting and repainting markings on their streets in recent years. I wonder why.
Was part of the tax increase that was specifically for street maintenance also specifically for doing street markings?

Why is this issue still up online but everything about the rec center has disappeared, even the last staff editorial.
