Sound Off: Why are there green markings on manhole covers on Connecticut Street? Is the city planning to fix the street?
Connecticut Street, from Seventh to 15th streets, is planned for maintenance as part of the 2012 Street Maintenance Program, according to Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager. The marking of manholes is part of the process to verify utility manholes and water valve locations in anticipation of the street work.

Green paint does a great job of covering blood stains.
