My friend, Linda, makes beautiful bags from the plastic bags. Our quilt group has been trying to encourage her to contact LJW to do an article on her bags.
just give them to your newspaper carrier or take them to the Journal World. They will re-use them. (The carriers have to buy their own bags so you would be helping them). You can also ask for your newspapers with a rubber band on non rainy days to help save the environment.
I use 'em to bag up all the Walmart bags. Then throw 'em all in the burn barrel.
