Sound Off: On the new job classified system on LJWorld.com, why do jobs not always appear the day they are posted? I check the website several times during the day and it shows no jobs for that day, but when I visit the site the next day, it states there were jobs posted “yesterday.”

When a company orders a job posting on jobs.ljworld.com during business hours, the classified staff enters the job information into our advertisement order entry system. Sometime between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., our recruitment partner, Real Match, dials into this system and electronically pulls all of the job information entered that day. So sometimes the site states “Jobs Posted Today” and sometimes it states “Jobs Posted Yesterday” depending on what time Real Match pulls job posting data that you see on our website.

Agreed with swampyankee. It's too much like the CareerBuilder site which is hard to navigate (and weed out the nonjobs). I prefer the old format.

I agree. The old format was much better in every way.

Real Match does a horrible job with job listings. They should be fired. People depend on job openings every day and this new system does not work.

The new one appears to be user friendly; it's pretty much cut and dried. What was it about the old format that you all feel was better? Besides that it "sucks".
