Sound Off: Recently there’s been a lot of activity at the armory just across from the Holiday Inn. Are they doing training?
Members of Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 137th Infantry, based in Lawrence, are participating in annual summer training for both peacetime and wartime activities. The training lasts two weeks and involves physical conditioning training and weapons training. Activity at the National Guard Armory, 200 Iowa, should return to normal shortly.
