Sound Off: are bicyclists allowed to ride on sidewalks and not stop before entering city streets?

Meagan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager, provided this information: According to city code, bicycling is not allowed within the downtown commercial district or on any sidewalk where specifically prohibited by posted signage. For safety reasons, the city recommends bicyclists stop and look both ways to before entering a city road, and bicyclists should always yield to pedestrians.
