I was curious as to how many flu shots were given during the recent drive-thru clinic in Lawrence?

Lisa Horn, spokeswoman for the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, said 505 flu shots were administered during the drive-thru clinic at Kansas University’s Park and Ride lots. The clinic started at 9 a.m., and all of the vaccine that was available for the drive-thru clinic was given by 10:30 a.m. The clinic, which was organized by the health department, was held to test community public health emergency response plans. Sixteen other agencies were involved with the event.
