Sound Off
I noticed on Friday the U.S. flag wasn’t flying at the post office at Seventh and Vermont streets, so I went in and told them. They said they would do something about it but never did. There also wasn’t a flag flying Saturday. Has the post office stopped or is there some other reason the flag hasn’t been flying?
According to Judy Raney, postmaster, it was an oversight, likely because some employees were covering for others and didn’t realize it was part of their duties. Raney said the post office would check on the flag each morning. Any problems should be reported to her.
