Are Roy Williams and Bill Self actually going to play golf together? If so, when, where, and who pulled that rabbit out of a hat?
Yes, they are playing golf together May 15 at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, in a charity skins game. Firekeeper designer Notah Begay III, a four-time PGA Tour winner now working as an analyst on the Golf Channel, and Firekeeper head golf pro Randy Towner, formerly of Alvamar, round out the foursome. Each participant has designated a charity that will benefit. Towner, who is friendly with both Williams and Self, arranged the event. The scheduled tee time is 10 a.m., the public is invited, and no admission fee will be charged. Firekeeper, a public golf course, is across the street from the Prairie Band Casino and the address is 12524 150 Road, Mayetta, KS 66509.
