It seems every year it rains during the Kansas Relays. Are there any statistics to prove it?
According to the Farmers Almanac, data from the National Weather Service shows precipitation during eight of the last 10 meets. The NWS didn’t record rain on the dates of the 2006 or 2007 meets, but melted snow or rain were reported. Precipitation totals at this year’s meet, 2.24 inches, were the highest of the last 10 meets. Four of the last 10 meets recorded more than 1/2 inch of precipitation.
