Will they be showing any outdoor movies downtown this year?
According to Cathy Hamilton, director of Downtown Lawrence Inc., there won’t be an outdoor movie series this summer because officials weren’t able to find a location. The lot used last year, on the southwest corner of Ninth and New Hampshire streets, is unavailable because of a construction project. Hamilton said the hope is to continue the series next summer, as it was a popular community event.
