What is the salary of the CEO of the Bert Nash Center?

The board of directors for the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center is responsible for establishing the compensation for the chief executive officer, which was $125,650.85 in 2010, according to Tracy Kihm, financial director. Bert Nash provides services for all of Douglas County with a staff of nearly 200 and an annual budget of $11 million. The current CEO is David Johnson, who has served in that position since 2001. He served as CEO of Behavioral Health Resources of Central Iowa in DesMoines from 1979 to 2001, and as president of Golden Circle Behavioral Health from 1995 to 2000; and as associate director of Iowa Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime Inc. from 1975 to 1979. Johnson serves on a number of boards, including Tower Mental Health Foundation, Kansas Communities in Schools, and Juvenile Justice Advisory Board. He received a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill.
