David Cunningham, director of human resources, legal services and policy for the Lawrence school district, provided this answer: Substitute coordinator is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for ensuring timely placement of certified substitute teachers in accordance with district policies and local, state and federal employment regulations, monitoring the eligibility verification, interview, hiring and orientation process for new substitutes; maintaining the district’s automated substitute database/calling system and a variety of personnel and employment records and assisting assigned administrative personnel in the completion of their work duties. The current salary assigned this position is $37,606.
