Sound Off
When, if ever, is the city planning on improving Learnard Avenue, specifically between 19th and 23rd streets? It’s full of holes and in some places, the sides of the street are falling into ditches.
According to Megan Gilliland, communications manager for the city, public works staff went to this area after receiving the soundoff question. The area does not appear to have significant degradation and has been reported to the street maintenance division as an area to watch. Staff noted a few shallow potholes and those will be addressed through the city’s patching program. Potholes can be reported to (785) 832-3456 or by using the online reporting form at www.lawrenceks.org/public_works/pothole_report_form.

Are you kidding me? Learnard is a very nice street and needs no repair. Have you been out and around town any at all? There are other east Lawrence streets that need repair before this street. What is it you want over there? Silly question.
