Will, or when will, the overpass on East 1000 Road, that goes over the turnpike be extended to accommodate the extra lanes of traffic? They have changed the other overpasses, but not this one.
According to Keith Browning, director of public works for Douglas County, it will happen in the future, although it’s not scheduled at this time. He said the need for that will be triggered by either the widening of I-70 and/or the need to replace the bridge because of its condition.
