How is the money credited for the local Give Back program? Some places give you dollar-for-dollar and others give you as little as a $3 credit for an $80 bill.
Staff with Lawrence Give Back said each merchant decides how many points to award per dollar spent, based on what is appropriate and affordable for their individual business. For example, a profitable restaurant may offer one point per $1 spent while a smaller retail venue might offer one point per $2. For every 200 points a cardholder earns, $10 is loaded onto his or her card. All the points earned, no matter where they are earned, collect in the same pool of points for each cardholder. It all adds up and the credit can be used at any of the participating merchants.
