I read where the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission agreed on an 8-2 vote to recommend denial of a plan for a Lowe’s store near Sixth Street and Folks Road. Who were the two commissioners that voted in favor of the plan?
According to the Planning Department, Commissioners Charlie Dominguez and Stanley Rasmussen voted against recommending denial of the plan. The Planning Commission’s recommendation now goes to the Lawrence City Commission for final action. That hearing is not expected until at least mid-September.
