Of the $18 million proposed to expand the Lawrence Public Library, how much of the money is actually for the library as opposed to adding more parking to downtown?

A total of $4.3 million of the project is for a public parking garage that would be adjacent to the library. The remainder is to expand and renovate the library, 707 Vt., according to information from the library board.

Then the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Lawrence Association and the City should pool together and pay the 4.3 million dollar portion of the total.
