After reading the question about The Oread the other day, what kind of permit did they have to get for the big red and blue lights that can be seen from so far away?
According to Megan Gilliland, communications manager for the city of Lawrence, such lights were permitted at the time The Oread was built. However, new standards have since been adopted that “more directly address light spill and glare.”
