Interesting story in Tuesday’s Journal-World about the police officer with multiple sclerosis, but I wish it had included the cost of the miracle drug and whether it was covered by insurance.

KU police officer Jimmie Druen said Tysabri, a drug that has eliminated his MS symptoms, is covered by his Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance plan. He estimated the drug cost about $60,000 per year. He pays $5,000 out-of-pocket.
