Is it proper etiquette to fly the American flag with a Confederate flag below it?
Jerry Hanson, second vice commander at the Lawrence American Legion, said per flag code all additional flags must be flown below the national colors. The only flags that are not allowed to be flown with the American flag are commercial flags. Hanson noted there is little to no enforcement of the codes and that flying a Confederate flag below the American flag would not be a legal issue, but a political one.

I don't think it is legal for the Confederate flag can be on the same pole as the American Flag. However even if it is, and not that I'm down on the confederate flag, I can't possibly imagine any reason to do so, nor any good to come of it.
